The tradition of food sculpting in China goes back thousands of years. Chinese food emphasizes the attractive presentation of a dish along with its color, smell and taste. Food sculpture is one of the best illustrations of this philosophy. However its importance in the Netherlands is decreasing.
We are pleased to curate a food carving workshop with Chinese food sculptor Chen Mo, and share his passion with the participants.
Foe Yong Hai aims to engage Dutch public in this disappearing Chinese culture, and make it happen in Dutch daily lives again.
