For the Ambacht in Beeld Festival 2026, we are once again transforming the NDSM Loods in Amsterdam on September 26 and 27 into a massive artisan workshop, where artisans from all corners of the world share their knowledge and passion with a broad audience. The program consists of more than one hundred workshops, masterclasses, and demonstrations. There is a repair shop, a cinema, an exhibition space, and in-depth lectures. Visitors of all ages are welcome. There is plenty to experience and create especially for children.
Program
The Ambacht in Beeld Festival has existed since 2013 and has grown into a major event that introduces a diverse audience to workshops and masterclasses by artisans from home and abroad. What makes the festival unique is that the focus is not on the sale of products, but on the exchange of knowledge and skills.

From woodturning to copper hammering, and from kintsugi to batik; with over 100 master artisans, workshops, masterclasses, films, demonstrations, and lectures, the festival once again offered a unique opportunity to discover crafts, try them out, and learn new skills.
