De Noorse filmmaakster Silje Ensby komt speciaal voor Ambacht in Beeld naar Amsterdam. Ze zal vertellen over haar werk en interesse in het maken van films over Noorse ambachten. Uiteraard vertonen we diverse films uit haar omvangrijke oeuvre.

Silje Ensby, born in Oslo, 1984, studied fine art in Bergen, Norway and Bristol, UK. She started making short films on the topic of traditional crafts in 2014, and has since worked as an independent filmmaker. In the past couple of years she has also gathered a large audience through her work at Hardanger Maritime Centre, where she frequently makes short videos documenting the traditional crafts being practiced at this historic shipyard.

The videos have millions of views on Facebook, and though these techniques are practiced by few, they are now being appreciated and watched all over the world, through these short process videos.
